Software for neuron reconstruction and visualization

neuTube is open-source software for reconstructing neurons from fluorescence microscope images.

The main function of neuTube is to generate a neuron structure from a 3D image with user interaction, which mainly consists of mouse clicks. It can also load SWC files from other sources for visualization or further editing.

Successor software: Atlas

The neuTube tracing, SWC editing, visualization, puncta, and related workflows have been migrated to Atlas, the newer software platform for larger image data and future maintenance. Interested readers can download public Atlas builds from GitHub releases and follow the Atlas documentation to test the migrated workflows. The Atlas installer also installs neuTube, so users can keep both applications available.
